Pros

BHPB has a solid remuneration structure by market comparison with a well developed range of options for a graduate looking to diversify their experience in the industry via a range of positions. Generally work is narrow- focused around core activities, with communication and collaboration with broader range internal stakeholders a fairly important component of the working environment.Annual leave allowances are excellent.

Cons

Bureaucracy and process reflects the current trends and management cultural fads of the time. Expect innovations and creative solutions to require a large amount of effort to gain momentum: new ideas are implemented by new management almost exclusively. Promotion or experience opportunities need to be actively and aggressively perused despite espoused personal development procedures (the opportunities are there but you are required to drive it almost exclusively). Productivity initiatives focus almost exclusively focus on hours at work rather than hours worked.

Pros

Some good co-workers and good challenges

Cons

Leadership in the Tucson office is highly political and unprofessional. Feedback is not given directly. Local leadership is more interested in Linkedin posting and image, rather than anything of substance.
