Pros

I have good remuneration as a long term leader, but this is used openly to justify me being forced to work against my own beliefs.

Cons

I have witnessed a functional coup at BHP over the last few years. The help, being HR and an harem of self-proclaimed change agents have forced a woke mind set on everybody where even the most mundane comment could be seen as a micro-aggression and met with cancellation or shaming. The senior leaders have done nothing to keep it in check, they have actually promoted it. The people who actually do the work and make the money are the people who suffer. In my opinion BHP is openly sexist against males. They do not try to hide it. Recruiting processes, discipline processes are all impacted by an obvious bias against men. BHP do not respect australian law. They work outside of it and then order their team of communications experts, or transformational change agents find a way to get away with it. This is very often with issues of discrimination or unfair dismissal where people and families have been turned upside down by these sociopaths. BHP nurtures sociopaths, but only if they are diverse or if they can be sneaky enough to gaslight those around them with a smile on their face. Then they are celebrated for being change enablers. A personality cult is promoted with senior leadership through emails, noticeboards and slide shows which play on loop constantly in the office. The topic is most often something woke and it is in my face every single day. BHP need to go back to being a company where people commit time and effort in exchange for a salary. It is not their place to comment on politics and to make people feel like they are worth less because they happen to not be diverse. Having a set of beliefs on political topics should not be a condition of employment at BHP but it seems like it is.

Pros

Some good co-workers and good challenges

Cons

Leadership in the Tucson office is highly political and unprofessional. Feedback is not given directly. Local leadership is more interested in Linkedin posting and image, rather than anything of substance.
