Pros

The pay. The building in city with views as they promote in all job ads

Cons

Racist, discriminative recruitment practices -multiple levels. Its who you know which will get you into bhp Not what you know. Merit and quals and experience mean nothing. If you are female, then as a part of their female recruitment and appeasement policies which the managers and recruitment team use to score brownie points. You may get a role. If a male, then need a strong old boys club membership. They pay lip service to equality and equal opportunity. If you are asian, indian or anything similar. Chances are you won't even get an interview. They mock your resumes and names in the recruitment team. So yes a real good facade covers a deep rot in values at bhp. Your friendly australian for certain demographics. The rest look away.

Pros

Some good co-workers and good challenges

Cons

Leadership in the Tucson office is highly political and unprofessional. Feedback is not given directly. Local leadership is more interested in Linkedin posting and image, rather than anything of substance.
