They talk the walk but do not walk the talk ( talk so much about step up but really will not tolerate the dynamics of a true step up culture) Age discrimination. Imagine a V/P using words like ‘young and dynamic’, ‘fresh blood’ in public forum? It all boils down to the desire to have ‘yes’ people in your organization. Managers and SLT are chosen not because of their competence but for their subservience No long term strategy; flavor of the month syndrome Extremely dangerous to speak up. You will be encouraged to speak up and then flogged for it Using diversity to pull in unqualified people into leadership roles thereby undermining the position and doing the promotes no favors Every leader tries to undo everything his/her predecessor had done before thereby causing more chaos and lack of continuity Promotions and salary raises are all at the whim of the managers (which is based on friendship/carpool cliques)
