Pros

Excellent culture and environment. Decent benefits and perks and generally good relationships with middle management and teammates.

Cons

Pay is below average. Upper management is basically entirely absent, in my time at Avature I've barely noted their existence, as they haven't bothered to make themselves present. Negotiating a raise is extremely difficult, and only really considered once the threat of leaving the firm is present. Internal mobility is technically there, but is an overly lengthy process. Promotions often come way after you've already taken on the responsibilities associated with it, but not the pay raise, as was the case with myself and a few coworkers.

First of all, we’re sorry that you felt voiceless during your time here. Listening to Avaturians is important to us and we’re constantly reviewing our internal processes to improve communication, so we take this feedback to heart. With that said, we’d like to elaborate on some points. Each career path is unique and our performance review process is designed to enable us to update compensation for each Avaturian yearly as their career demands. Likewise, every mobility process has its own needs and some require a more gradual transition. Avature has a lot of moving pieces and it’s true that this can sometimes take a while. As for leadership, we want our leaders to provide context more than direct orders, but they (and other referents) are always open for dialogue. Communication and collaboration are major pillars of our culture.
