Pros

There's some flexibility in your work schedule, but they mostly need people to work nights due to the call volume.

Cons

First, and most importantly, there are a number of hoops you have to jump through to get your hard earned commission and they will do everything to keep you from getting it. A survey is emailed to the callers you are able to get approved for an American Express credit card and if you get anything less than a 10/10 they will take your commission from you. Even if you do great and get 100% of your commission for the month Alorica will take out an additional 18% for what they call a "handling fee". Alorica uses this money that they take from your hard earned check to buy cupcakes, decorations, and throw mediocre "parties". If you miss too much time in any given month Alorica will take your commission check from you. If you accidently say something incorrect to a caller you can get what's called a PIN (1, 2, or 3) and Alorica will take your commission from you. If you get a PIN 3, you are not allowed to get your commission checks for 3 months. The supervisors try and help, but even their morale is low because of upper management taking their team's money. Because the turn over rate is so high they don't have enough employees on the phones so it's often back-to-back calls, with no rest. Anytime a caller asks a question about an American Express card you have to read paragraphs of legal verbiage and they often get upset because you can't give them a simple response. Also, you are CONSTANTLY competing with the American Express website which has better deals then you can ever offer and caller's call in to ask a question, and then say they will apply online and this negatively impacts your sales numbers for the month which, you guessed it, takes away your commission. If you like being robbed, lied to, and taken for granted, then you'll love Alorica's American Express Program. I guarantee it, or you money back, but probably not.
