Pros
Ability to work virtually is the only redeeming factor.
Cons
Alight is the classic example of a company ruined by an investment company buyout. - think Carl Icahn or for movie buffs, Gordon Gekko. Prior to the buyout the company was highly dysfunctional and relied on years of goodwill and business connections to thrive. It is still dysfunctional but now is run by an investment company attempting to squeeze every dime out of its employees to be make money. Since the employees are the lifeblood of a service organization this strategy will only last for a while before the best and brightest jump ship. The company will likely be sold at a loss to another investment company like Berkshire Hathaway. Alight has all the symptoms of bad management. 1. Plays Favorites 2. Lack of Flexibility 3.
