Pros
Honestly, it’s hard to fill up the 20 word minimum: -Flexibility to work from home (double-edged sword) -Average pay and benefits -Genuinely nice co-workers
Cons
-Severely outdated technology and hardware that leads to overwhelming inefficiencies and frustration. -Lack of an internal database or filing system for documents, making it impossible to find resources anywhere. We still use a system from 10+ years ago... -Poor company culture focused on overwork... nobody takes breaks or goes to lunch, it’s almost frowned upon to take a moment to breathe. No team building, no activities - just work. -Staffing is spread thin and as a result work is often behind schedule, despite overtime hours. -Training and learning is derailed due to lack of man hours to provide instruction. Lackluster training program need improvement. -Few in-person interactions... everyone works from home or joins conference calls (even if they are all in the same building!); this is both isolating and inefficient in terms of communication and learning. Most managers are in a different time zone or work virtually. -Overwhelming focus on the client contact and not the actual user. I often feel we treat a lot of our participants poorly and no one really cares. -Lack of upward mobility; the company is full of lifers and you cannot get a promotion from your entry level job unless your manager retires. -Very little meaningful or challenging work on a day to day basis. Most of the time is spent babysitting off-shore colleagues and making sure they are actually doing their work.
