Pros

employment. okay benefits flexible growth easy for yes men

Cons

Cliques. . Fit in quickly or you will not advance. Best qualified can be down played in favor of lesser qualified but in the clique player. Human resources bows down to those in charge so their job is to cover up and create smoke and mirrors that can prevent the best qualified from succeeding. Succession planning is a tool that can qualify you or disqualify one for promotion but not used as most companies would use. Nothing is based on actual information that can be verified. Those chosen to succeed are placed in positions long before the interview process. Interview process is just for show as decisions have already been made. RVPs need to go in favor of new unbiased management.

Pros

The easiest thing about job is the work itself.

Cons

The upper management is horrible on every level. They don’t care enough to even give job interviews, so you don’t know what to expect on your first day. Expect someone to not train you, but aggressively micromanage you and let you know what you do is wrong but not show how to do anything correctly. I’ve never seen a retail place operate so “by the books” but will make up rules on the spot when it’s most convenient for them. There is a severe lack of communication and care all around, partly from a lot of the managers being on different parts of the spectrum. The senior employees will also take out their home life problems out on you bc they’re jealous you got more credit card applications than them. Don’t work here unless you enjoy high school petty drama from ladies that have worked 30+ years in retail.
