Pros
When it was the peak season in retail I was making at least 30 hours a week. They also worked with my school schedule while I was in high school.
Cons
OVERWORKED! I was one of the few people at my store who was register-trained, since the operations manager who hired me required all new employees to be trained. But when she left no one was being trained except cashiers, which they would NEVER schedule enough of. I was always being called as a back-up and still had to go back to my department and do my part of the zoning. Also, since I had been hired before minimum wage had been increased I was getting paid much less than the new hire, and still had to do twice the work.
