Pros
Looks good on the resume
Cons
Where to begin. It baffles me at how much work is given out to contractors. One example, 3 electricians come in on a regular basis to install 2 outlets, perform a total of maybe 60 minutes of work, yet get paid for 8 hours AND overtime because its done overnight. There is a third party who handles all build outs and hiring of contractors. att is paying these guys millions of dollars a year and in the end it costs the company 3 or 4 times to do things like install elecrical outlets or build a cage. Its a racket to say the least. It is very disheartening when they later post billions of dollars in profit and claim to not be able to support healthcare for its employees. I USED to own shares in the company until I started working here. This is sadly the worst place I have ever worked my entire life (I'm 42 years young). Won't be here much longer after these last 12 years. I started here when I was 30 and things looked promising, sadly as the years have gone by its gotten worse, especially since sbc took over.
