Pros
I have worked at AMS for over 10 years in a number of different roles and overall I can genuinely say it’s a company I love working for. By its very nature of being an RPO, the business can feel fragmented as teams are embedded on client sites or located in large service centres, often across different geographies. Your client and team can make a big difference to your AMS experience so you have to be willing to network and build relationships beyond your immediate client account to make it work. Taking opportunities to move roles and accounts is worth the upheaval! I have learnt a huge amount working on assignments across different business areas. It’s a fast paced, dynamic company so being comfortable with change is a benefit.
Cons
It’s not for the faint hearted – opportunities are real but you have to drive your own career and raise your own profile, your manager won’t do this for you. Like any company there are a few poor managers and cliques do exist but the majority of people do genuinely care. As the company grows, the leadership seem to be more remote and less accessible.
