Pros

Culture Emma fosters a growth driven culture. If you join the company, expect that: - you will be challenged -you will get out of your comfort zone -you will learn a lot of things beyond the scope of your role -you will collaborate with different leaders (with no hierarchies) -you will learn that you are capable beyond the proven skills you are aware of Benefits: Specific to the Manila office, the compensation and benefits are better than most companies. The office leaders definitely listen to the employees' feedback and adapt the best approach.

Cons

Because of the high pressure environment, be ready to learn and adapt fast If you are coming from a corporate environment, you have to unlearn a lot of things and adapt to the agile nature of the startup world

Pros

I came from a hierarchical company before Emma and it was rather suffocating. However, our horizontal structure is so refreshing. You can really see how everyone - from interns to managers to heads to directors - is treated equally. All Emmies have roughly the same arsenal of opportunities. Another thing I love is how comfortable we are with each other. Whether it be about work or our personal lives, I know my teammates have my back. I've been here for almost a year and I can attest that we truly don't have politics or finger-pointing happening. Lastly, as a mental health advocate, I really appreciate how Emma has therapists we can schedule sessions with, and it's free of charge! Super grateful for that.

Cons

Having a flexible schedule is good, but sometimes it's hard to impose your own boundaries when it comes to working with and replying to international colleagues.

Pros

Good vibe in Lisbon's office (apparently very different from Frankfurt)

Cons

Sometimes is hard to differentiate if it's a company or University, so many interns and junior profiles, and of course, the expectation is that they perform as seniors! The management/company brainwashes young people with all that poetic culture stuff! They mention all the time about taking ownership but it's a lack of responsibility from heads and team leads (All very amateur) on guiding the juniors. It’s a super pollutant company but they just don’t care! They want to show every week in the All hands how much we are growing in € and focusing on the investor's target!!
