Pros

Super structured strategy, planning and business process. Very clear line of decision and proximity to the decision makers. Good balance between centralized strategy and local autonomy level, since the businesses have different specifications from country to country.

Cons

May loose some of the local autonomy, since the group is trying to integrate/centralize a lot of activities. Not an issue, for the moment, though. More difficult to escalate on the global structures if you are not a french speaker (even though the oficial language is the english).

Pros and cons, overall good company

Pros

Edenred UAE overall has a positive and pro-learning culture that deeply focuses on everything having an entrepreneurial mindset. I loved the flexibility (timings) and the hybrid-work days most of all! Employees are empowered to take ownership of their tasks and projects, allowing for personal and professional growth. The environment is conducive to driving change, and people have the power to mould their roles based on their contributions. The vibe overall is friendly and supportive. Most people do say they have managed to have a great work-life balance. Also, this company is based in France (and 45 countries!) - employees looking to move to elsewhere eventually, this the place for you!

Cons

1) The compensation is not the best, compared to current trends. The immense learning and engaging events make up for it on some days, but most salaries don't fully align with market prices. 2) While the culture is awesome, new employees may face challenges with HR/visa processes. Just make sure all your documentation is in order and please proactively communicate your needs, the ambiguity can easily lead to miscommunication otherwise. For instance, I experienced a visa-related concern that could have been managed more effectively, if I had known whom I was to address it with. At one point, it did seem like HR was trying to shrug off responsibility. It didn't help my cause that everyone seemed really scared to talk to the head of HR lol 3) The lack of a defined roadmap for certain newer roles may be perceived as a drawback by some, but I guess it can also be seen as an opportunity for those who want to lead that change. At least when I brought this to my director's notice, they addressed it right away and came up with a plan/structure.
