Pros

Not many anymore. Good Benefits

Cons

I am waiting for someone to die on the job in order for them to make changes to the field. They are one of the lowest paying companies in the industry. The boys/girls club still exits here. If your not liked you will never move up. No matter how good of a job you do. If your with the company over 20 years you're now a liability, Even though when the lose the next person, Who do they ask to pick up the pieces? The old timers! Or as one manager put it ( The Dinosaurs) The salary cap is in place for anyone below midlevel management. They have you buy and sell your business constantly going after your base salary! An inclusive company, Not a chance. I've been attacked many a time for pointing out problems. Your not allowed to discuss any of this! As I was told once. I was lucky I wasn't FIRED for pointing out things that are detrimental to employees. They have councils for everything else in the company Except for an Employee council for the rights of the employees. For such an Inclusive company, why not? Oh and we really need to revue the training for new people. The trainers in the field are people that were never trained right themselves. More service training is needed. One field trainer per area. As it is I will probably be fired for this post, from the Inclusive company.

Pros

the money is good if you don't want a personal life. truly unlimited earning potential. take company vehicle home every night. company paid smart phone and good benefit package. almost complete independence. "make your own schedule"(see cons)

Cons

extreme route change without notice. fluctuating pay, long hours, strange hours, high expectations with no management support. Upper management talks a big game about taking care of people first, but money is not everything. Middle management ignores requests for help and blame you when things go wrong. you do not own your time 24/7, you are at the mercy of your customers as far as that goes. vacations are a complete lie. spend a lot of money on corporate dinners, paper reports, annual meetings, ecolab "schwag", and frivolous things that could go to field associates.

Pros

Company Vehicle, Gas Card, Good Benefits, ability to manage your own route. You're on your own, out and about all night long... not sitting at a desk somewhere

Cons

Constant turnover rate since they changed the pay scale. It used to be base salary plus commission. Now it's this convoluted revenue per hour scale that has caused almost all pest control technicians to take a $500 to several thousand dollar loss per paycheck. They claimed you would make the same amount of money if you did the same amount of work. Definitely not true
