      Pros

      - competitive salary and benefit package - standardization of major work processes makes it easier to move/work in different Eaton locations - high expectations, structured performance management system - if you are mobile, there are many promotional / developmental opportunities within the corporation - employee engagement is highly valued and the company takes proactive steps to ensure the work environment is a positive one

      Cons

      - at the higher levels of mgt, the organization manages through a matrix reporting structure that can sometimes be stifling and slows down the overall decision making process - merit increases can be on the small side; even if you feel you've performed at a high level - many of the manufacturing facilities are located in rural locations; making relocation to these areas and recruitment for talent very challenging

      Pros

      Senior Leadership is very cognizant of market and increasing market share. Benefit and salary packages are very competitive. Bad news is when you are laid off due to lack of work that it is difficult to match salary.

      Cons

      Market is down, so layoffs and weeks without pay have been prevelant since 2008. Plants have been closed also.
