Pros

The group I worked with in Marketing was very experienced and did their job's well. The company cafeteria is great!

Cons

The morale is kind of the pits. A lot of it is legacy from all the mistakes they made when pictures went digital, but they should rid themselves of the naysayers. Company direction is pretty questionable under the new CEO.

Tough Challenges Ahead for Kodak

Pros

Values-driven company with respect for employees. Powerful historical brand name that still resonates globally. Not afraid to jettison the old film infrastructure to try to get ahead of the inevitable digital transitions. Does have deep innovation and R&D capabilities.

Cons

Unfortunately, Kodak is a sinking ship. No opportunity for long-term success professionally because of its historical reputation as a film-based company. R&D prowess not matched by manufacturing or operational capabilities digitally.

Pros

The best part about working at Kodak is the people. Kodak is full of people who care about their work and support their co-workers. Even in these difficult times, people manage to keep a sense of humor, while doing what ever they can to help their workgroup succeed.

Cons

The atmosphere at Kodak weighs on people because of the constant downsizing. At least once a year we go through layoffs or know of organizations that are going through it. So if you're not directly involved, someone you know is. Also, for hourly employees, raises are almost nonexsistant.
