Pros

Its a wonderful place to grow, get into the public accounting profession, and start your career. The amount of money they invest into your growth, knowledge, and training is awesome. The variety of clients is second to none, which give you plenty of opportunities to work with top execs.

Cons

Like any big 4 firm, you have to put in the hours. Its impossible to be in this profession and not put in the long hours. If there is a shortage in jobs around your area, it is possible to be sent to other locations nationally. This is alright most of the time, since you get a chance to travel some and work on larger jobs, however, you may have little control over this.

Pros

Flexible working enviroment;Knowledge sharing is very common;lots of excuse to off work. people here are so nice, and lots chitchat if you like it that way. certain department can provide you opportunity to jump to banks or hedge funds and it happens all the time

Cons

Can't be a long term career;pay less than Banks do with the same hours;sometimes you dont have to work hard to get promoted;takes you long time to get in the partner track

Pros

Great career experience working with variety of industries, companies, and people. Gain expertise in technical accounting. Provides great career opportunities within the firm if you wish to stay. If you decide to leave, the experiences will allow for greater flexibility in choosing the next job position. Job security is great. The firm is putting more emphasis on diversity and making changes in the right direction.

Cons

The hours are long especially when close to deadlines. As service firm, deadlines are set by clients who set unreasonable expectations. At higher levels, becomes more and more political. Majority of the employees are recent grads from college/university (within 4 years of graduation) and as you move up, feel more and more of the generation gap. Hard to deal with the different ways younger generation thinks and as they make up majority of the work force, the firm gives more to the younger generation than to the older.
