Pros

Decent hourly pay for an entry level position. Work from home. Flexible scheduling. Bi-weekly pay. Seasonal position where you're typically able to return to work every year.

Cons

No raises. For better pay, you'll need to qualify for a program that pays a higher rate. Feedback from team leads isn't consistent and can vary from person to person which makes it hard to make improvements and leaves room for unfair performance feedback. Scheduled shifts are often canceled. Lack of work and short scoring seasons are too common, which means less earning potential. Hard to get on with another scoring project.

Pros

Dealing/assisting with the testing process.

Cons

The technical support. Very hard to understand their thick accents. Difficult to deal w/candidate's that couldn't test based on exam that wouldn't launch.

Pros

There's noting like working in your pjs! Very flexible schedule within the specific test administration-you can schedule as many or as few hours as you like. Challenging IF you score for more than one test administration. Much nicer since the scheduler has been updated.

Cons

This is only SEASONAL work, even if you work FT when you work. You are required to set hours out of your day/week to put on the schedule if you need the work, but the test admin really has NO idea how many tests they will receive to be scored & can cancel your entire schedule in a flash, leaving you with lots of free hours but no compensation. Only challenging IF you can score more than one Admin/State test in a session; otherwise brutally boring because every student is answering the same question; so imagine being a teacher grading 1000s of student papers of the same question on the same test...hour after hour, day after day. [Telling you this because you need to be the type of person that can do repetitive tasks while STAYING FOCUSED, and you must stay focused to be fair to every student.]
