Pros

There are tons of growth opportunities. They promote from within. They invest in future leaders. Owned by Disney, so free park passes and 50% off at Disney hotels. Tuition reimbursement. Onsite gym. The huge growth in the industry means lots of opportunities to grow, if youre willing to attain new skills. New media is a big growth area. TONS more.

Cons

Old-school mentality about working your way up.

Pros

Being able to tell others where you work at, being a Disney Employee and reaping its benefits, being able to meet a sports star everyonce and a while.

Cons

It has its ups and downs like any other big company. Corporate America can be difficult, especially in the media industry.I can say that it is very difficult to move up in the company now than it was years ago. Its due to the size of the company and the amount of people who are dying to work there

Pros

Your job is to be surrounded by sports. For a sports fan, it doesn't get much better than that.

Cons

The company is so large, it suffers when it comes to dealing with the more personal side of employment. And worst of all, depending on your job, you may have to work with talent (anchors/analysts). Know this about ESPN - if your face doesn't appear on TV, you are a second rate employee. You are expected to cater to the every need of the likes of Stuart Scott, Chris Berman, etc. Some of them are great to work with, but there are others that will make your day miserable.
