Super fake leadership

Pros

Nice office building and young vibrant coworkers

Cons

Super fake leadership more hung up on exterior impressions and brown-nosing skills than actually doing productive work. Bosses who take credit for work done by their subordinates while they pretend to be busy and look good.

Hi, thanks for sharing your experience. We’re sorry to hear that you had such a negative experience. What you have shared about leadership is serious and not reflective of the environment we recognize at EF, therefore we really want to hear more. While it’s difficult to address your concerns fully without knowing the specific location, we believe strongly that hard work and results should always be recognized, and no one should advance in their career based on someone else’s efforts. If you’d like to share more about your experience, we’d appreciate the opportunity to learn about so we can address your specific concerns. Feel free to reach out to us at hr@ef.com. Wishing you all the best.

Pros

- Excellent benefits. - Amazing colleagues - EF attracts some really wonderful people. - Room to grow and develop, depending on your product/manager. - Opportunities to travel for work. - Core values and mission are great. - Very social office culture if you like that.

Cons

- Salary, especially for entry-level roles, is quite low, especially for big cities like Boston. - Every product is very different in their team culture, processes, structure, so make sure to look at the team you're working on not just the company as a whole. - There can be favoritism for the "superstars" or well-connected people, which can work either in your favor or against it if you rub someone the wrong way. - This industry has ups and downs, so job security can be precarious. - New 4-day in-office requirement is tricky - not very hybrid or remote friendly.
