Pros

Wonderful students, great colleagues, safe environment, always new faces because of massive teacher turnover rate, lose weight , starvation wages.

Cons

Cafeteria workers earn more than teachers. Feeling exploited, no benefits, medical, sick days, holidays.

Pros

Young environment, you get to travel once a year on a tour (if they dont think you will be fired in the next 4 months) and well thats about it.

Cons

They expect you to work 10+ hours a day with no over time, take no lunch breaks and come in on weekends for $27,000 a year. People get fired like crazy here. If you miss one goal you are done. This company has been around for 47 years and they are JUST now trying to reconstruct their company environment. EF screws customers over and lies to people about how the tours really are. It's hard working for a place where you know your product is NOT the best out of all the other travel companies, in fact it is probably the worst. The management is awful here. You can never move up in this company and the 5 out of 120 people who have been here more than 2 years would NEVER want to be a manager or director. No room to grow, awful pay and awful management. Save your energy for an interview with a real company.

Pros

One of the only good things about EF is the people you work with. That’s what makes it so hard to leave even when you are so unhappy in the job. They also have a lot of events and a bar inside. You do get a free trip usually once a year as well

Cons

Unfortunately the pros do not outweigh the cons to this company. All of EF overworks and underpays their employees. It’s also not easy to jump around within products or move up. I was there 2 years and was only making not even 50k, which isn’t livable in Boston. When I tried to move positions, I was offered almost 10k less than what I was making at one job, and completely ignored and strung along at another one. I am very disappointed in this company that I once wanted to work for so badly. The stress with this job was one of the worst I’ve ever experienced, and half my team left after I did which really says something. Someone on my team was cheating for almost two years, and nothing was done about it. I absolutely loved the trips and the company itself, but working for them was another story. Most people don’t stay at this company for long, and I really wish they prioritized their employees more than just fancy Christmas parties and free food sometimes.
