      Pros

      Dug and the rest of the management team are truly inspirational. The product itself is extremely easy to use and talk about.

      Cons

      There are any cons at the moment. Keep up the great work and don't ever lose that culture we worked so hard for!

      A Tale of Two Duos

      Pros

      Generally lots of amazing people, and lots of interesting problems to work on. Revenue and growth are through the roof.

      Cons

      Duo is a great place to work, if you are lucky enough to be in a department on the good side of the river. Otherwise you are most likely facing a direct management team with disfunction, ego driven decision making, dishonesty and general incompetence in their role. These issues are also common in most large enterprises. Wich is shocking that they have crept their way into Duo, a company that touts itself as focused on people.

      Pros

      There are many, but I'll try to boil them down to the top 3. 1) The room for and dedication to professional growth and development is outstanding. I've had the freedom to chart my own professional course, and the support from my manager to go after the goals that I've set for myself, all of which allows me to deliver greater value to the company. 2) Overall, the people are nice. Really nice (some nicer than others, but still). In fact, being kinder than necessary is a value here that flows down from our CEO. This matters if you like cross-functional work, and if success in your role depends on productive cross-team endeavors. 3) Our product is cool, important and relevant, and the way that we speak about it is understandable and relatable. I'm not sure about others, but I like that.

      Cons

      The compensation is not stellar. It's not terrible, either. But outside of a few key roles, it's just OK. There are a lot of things that make this company great (including employment perks) - but compensation is just not one of them. Also, at the highest levels, outside of the People Team, I'm not sure we're doing a great job of having women in a meaningful number of key leadership roles.

We currently review compensation for the organization twice a year and use external compensation surveys to help us benchmark. That said, this is an area we continue to invest in including benefits that support the wellbeing of our folks. I am also passionate about ensuring we continue to diversify our leadership team, and I’m proud to see us investing in a Diversity & Inclusion Manager and programs. While we lead the market in some of our diversity metrics, that doesn’t mean we feel like we are meeting our own standards. We’ll keep focusing here and appreciate you continuing to share opportunities for Duo to grow.
