      Company loses its lustre

      Pros

      For years Dow Europe was dynamic and exciting place to work. Opportunities within the company were abundant and colleagues were supportive and good people.

      Cons

      Last 3-4 years, company in Europe has seen a massive downturn, too many good and talented colleagues are leaving, leaving the toxic people in place. The politicians thrive. The few good people left have too much on their plates.

      Job Insecurity, Disregard for Employee Loyalty, Personal Sacrifices in Vain, Emotional Impact, Questionable Company Integrity Despite five years of dedicated service at Dow, where I excelled in customer relations and generated over $25 million in profits, the company abruptly laid off 2000 employees, myself included. Relocating and adapting to a new country and culture for Dow now feels like a regrettable decision. The lack of loyalty and the way they handled the layoffs has left me deeply disappointed in my experience with the company.
