Pros

Solid company with good benefits and work life balance. Significant amount of internal training is available and encouraged. Friendly people who are willing to help you learn and teach.

Cons

Limited opportunities to advance beyond individual contributor level roles. Senior management disconnected from reality. Middle management span of control can be to large contributing to confusion and misdirection. Hard work and results are rewarded less than who you are connected to the higher you go in the organization. It should be noted that Dow is a highly networked matrix organization.
