      Lots of development opportunities for junior employees

      Pros

      Plenty of internal development programs. For employees in the first 5-8 years of career, this is a great company to learn and grow.

      Cons

      It's big and can be lost and feel less challenged if individuals don't have the initiative to keep developing. Middle management are not chosen for people leadership skills.

      Pros

      There are a lot of opportunities to try different things. The work is always different. There's never a dull moment, everyone is always busy. There are opportunities for travel and when times are good, opportunities for international travel. Overall, the company cares about it's employees and wants to keep you long-term. There are a lot of people at Dow that really care about one another.

      Cons

      The culture seems to have a lack of communication. It's not always easy to find the "right" answer or the "right" person. It also seems that there is more support, training, and attention for "advanced" people or those who are might be people leaders and less for those who don't.

      Pros

      Having worked for Dow Chemical in the European headquarter with more than 500 people from 50 different countries, I gained valuable experience interacting with colleagues and customers from varied and diverse cultures. The openess and exchange among the employees was inspiring and most rewarding.

      Cons

      I noticed a changing trend to concentrate more on business results and neglecting people who are achieving the results.
