Thank you for your insight. Innovation is important to Diversey and we are happy to see that value is recognized. In the first few months of our transition we did focus on short-term objectives to ensure our company was able to continue to provide high levels of service to our customers and employees. We are now focused on long-term initiatives and are actively building our culture and identity as an independent company.

Toxic Company Culture

Pros

You can gain a ton of experience here...but...

Cons

The corporate culture is toxic, and it’s driven by a CEO who exacerbates it! People are rewarded by taking credit for others’ work. It’s a culture of people fighting to keep their salary and make a big bonus for themselves. Very little drive from management to win by doing actual real work rather, they play political games and manipulate people with mind games. Most all innovations are a “me too” and any profit I saw was made by constantly slashing the budget for travel and firing long-standing employees. The work they had would then just get re-distributed onto employees overloading the work horses with multiple jobs. If they did replace fired staff, they would bring in young, inexperienced new hires who didn’t know any better. That would exacerbate the upper management to continue to earn inflated salaries and trick them into thinking they were guilty of doing no wrong. The few that remained would be promoted to levels far beyond their experience, making them completely unable to fulfill their roles properly. The culture just snowballed like this until it was so toxic rats started jumping off the sinking ship. All the good people left, because they were smart enough to know it was not a healthy workplace. Next to that, I experienced rampant misogyny with blatantly litigation-worthy comments being made.

We appreciate the time you took to provide your thoughts. As a newly formed, stand-alone company we are working hard to build an inclusive company culture. Based on the feedback we have received from our employees through our internal listening platform, we believe our continuing efforts are successful. Care is our first Competency in our values system and provides a foundation for the remaining values of Decide, Act and Own. We are disappointed to hear that you had a bad experience. We wish you success as you continue your career path.
