Most political - Boys club I have ever seen or sadly been a part of.
Pros
Product allowance ( I guess ), Pension, High salaries, Bonus above industry standards Fridays remote work Fairly flexible Its a decent place to work in general if you are part of a project team.
Cons
Its not what you know but who you know. If you are new and highly skilled watch yourself and dont shine to bright unless you are ready to play the game. Brown nosing in this place is at a whole new level and the worst I have ever seen. Too many town halls and meetings with management. Management seems to be open but with all the meetings its tough to determine if its honest or just a stunt. I cant think of another IT shop with so many low skilled people in so many high places because of who they know. Also literally everything is outsourced. Pc support, help desk even incident management. Also projects are king meaning if you are not on one or able to get on one you don't have a purpose even if you are BAU. Pub nights on Thursdays actually a negative for me, i absolutely hate it because it comes with the price of your soul - after a hectic weak I want to go home to my family not play more political chess and or have to attend a silly promotional party to pitch something. If these felt no pressure to attend than this would be a huge positive. Mandatory fun events, picnics and or events should be one that people WANT to attend not ones where they say they are required.
