Runs Like a Start Up:
-Almost all processes are not standardized outside of GMP.
-More than some managers (not supervisors) have no clue what their employees do, They only care about - get the numbers to positive and the bad numbers to negative even though it doesn't follow policies/procedures - this makes it confusing/uneasy at times to work here
Work Distribution
-The higher ups are entitled to do less than the grunts.
The grunts do way more PLUS the jobs of the higher ups, but get paid way less; this creates a negative atmosphere. This means the higher someone is (level 3 or level 4; there are 4 levels in each position) level 3s and 4s will pass their duties onto the level 2s and 1s.
Passing The Buck
-Everywhere, not just between level 4s/3s in the same team, but interdepartmental
Promotion:
-They promote a lot but they don't do it solely based on work ethic/achievements but weighted way more heavily on the relationship with supervisor/manager. Employee that does all the work, doesn't complain, takes on more work while getting passed the buck (and this is clearly visible to the supervisor AND manager) with a normal okay relationship with the supervisor/manager will not get promoted over the employee that doesn't do extra work but looks really good/kisses in front of supervisor/manager
EGOs:
-I wouldn't put this on this list if it wasn't serious. There are good people that work here; stand-up people and some normal folks who just want to do their job and be professional. However, there are WAY more employees (ESPECIALLY supervisors but not only them) here that have a BIG ego and 1)don't like to take responsibility for their actions, 2)pass the buck because they're too "high level" for whatever work needs to be done even though sometimes it's literally their job, 3)Throw you under the bus to their seniors.
-It felt like junior high school generally, except everyone is 28+ years old and have kids
-Contributed to unnecessarily high stress levels along with the combination of everything else like passing of the buck etc.
