Pros

It's relatively easy work, as in "to get into the swing of things," and it's rewarding to sell the product. The only reason I would recommend this company is that it is a good place to gain experience- not a good place to work long term if you're truly ambitious.

Cons

The nepotism is rampant; the promotions of those around you are ridiculous, and unsubstantiated. Really, it's unbelievable to see (quite a few) people around you who are higher up hierarchically, and yet you know they're dumber than a box of rocks... It's often NOT the case that these people worked harder nor smarter. The people promoted tend to get lucky in a given territory, and thus get promoted for "being successful." If that isn't the reason, then it's because they're in a relationship with another manager. The whole management team is like the Lanisters in Game of Thrones: incestuous. Let's put it this way: most of the promotions aren't based on merit. Another major con is this: you are expected to hit a certain number, but you don't really control that number. For this role you're the "closer" and often the only person that the patient talks to. However, you're not the one to bring in the leads... You can close 100% of your leads, and still not hit your number, because those are arbitrary, and so you'll not get the commission, promotion, nor raise you may deserve. Also, this position doesn't make as much money as it should considering how much revenue it generates...

Pros

The technology is revolutionary, and it feels great to be a part of something that helps so many people. Nice facilities for employees.

Cons

As an operator, you are just a number. You are really limited as far as advancement opportunities until you have been there over one year, even then, promotions in the pack out department seems to be based more on senority rather than on one's merit. Unfortunately, I also felt at a disadvantage because I'm not Asian or Hispanic ethnically. I hate to say it, and it made me very sad, but it genuinely felt that the Lead Operators showed prominent favoritism based upon your ethnicity, at least at this level of the company. Most people dislike or just plan hate the position. This is so much so that almost all of their hiring is done through various temp agencies, and turnover is astounding! Also, be prepared to leave work everyday in discomfort, or even severe pain due to the repetative nature of the position. Sure, you adapt over time, and the pain can lessen in severity, but it usually still significant and impactful on your daily life. There are a large number of employees at any one time that are on modified duty secondary to a repetative work-related injury. I was extremely excited when I first started, but over time, that excitement waned and faded completely. I would not recommend this position, unless this job is your only option at the time.
