Pros

Deutsche Bank is a place for individuals who quickly adjust to the environment and surrounding staff. Also, this is a place for individuals who can quickly learn and adapt to the different personalities. This place definitely rings true of working with different personalities, places, and tasks. It is what you make out of it. When one enters into the firm, have an experienced colleague who has worked with everybody, show you the ropes and ins & outs of the place - best way of succeeding. Of course, this firm comes with its name and brand recognition especially within world of Investments. The extra benefits in working with a firm of this calibre is that they provide support and paid training within the following areas for added development - GMAT, MBA, CFA providing paid preparation. The firm also implements and provides current market technology.

Cons

~ Management lacks the following: i. Does not know how to manage situations and would rather delegate their difficult management responsibilities than take control of the situation. ii. Fails to provide proper training to newhires. During the firm's "onboarding" process for new employees, management fails to reach out to new employees and identifies that responsibility belonging to the new employees. Firm needs to do a better job with training management to handle employees, since firm's management does not support employee efforts and would rather protect themselves than protect those under their management. Unsupportive management created low morale within their managed teams. ~ Employees with extensive experience become very comfortable with only addressing their focal business than understanding the need to communicate their wish for the work that requires outside support to be best executed and satisfy their preferences. ~ As supported by another reviewer, it is very difficult and long to get needed applications setup for employees to be productive. Many within the firm refer to it as being the "Deutsche Bank Way."

Pros

DB has exceptional training program. It provides professional and friendly working environment. It also provide opportunities for employees to try different roles within the company

Cons

lunch from DB's restaurant is awful. Trying to arrange most or all division within one big building instead of separates one may improve the branding of DB in London.

Pros

Prestigious name to have on cv.

Cons

From an IT perspective, 5+ years ago Deutsche was a great bank hiring the best people. Most of the good people have since left, leaving behind the dead wood. Why? - no longer pays top money - bureaucratic organisation makes it hard to get things done - creativity and innovation are stifled - jumps on the nearest bandwagon but is always behind the curve, never leading - too focused on cost cutting, and often in the wrong places - too many layers of ineffective management - decision makers sit in ivory towers and do not engage with the troops until after decisions have been made - cronyism - lack of 360 reviews resulting in poor quality management team - replacing good quality, experienced on-shore staff with cheaper off-shore staff - poor quality IT systems
