Pros

Given a lot of freedom and individual responsibility with my work and projects. Worked directly for the head of the region's business development team and got a lot of exposure to the work they do.

Cons

Felt the internship program was too unstructured and would've appreciated a little more direction and guidance.

Pros

Always good or bad at a big law firm. Compensation was very good. There was a strong commitment to professional development. One of the few firms where I know people who joined right out of law school, stayed, made partner, and are still there.

Cons

Like a lot of firms, there was an ever-widening gap between partners and others in terms of information communicated. Some departments looked after their own better than others.

Pros

There is a team environment and the IP department has good leadership.

Cons

It is difficult to keep up with the work that comes in from the clients.
