Pros

The only saving grace of this place is that there are a few genuinely great people here. It's a shame the firm only cares about money, profits, and continuous global expansion instead of the lawyers and staff that help them get there.

Cons

Too many to count. Seriously - I would give this place zero stars if I could. I came in eager and excited to make a difference here only to find that: - Upper management will try to control you and throw you under the bus (and steal your wins) - HR is a cesspool; they do not have your best interests at heart - People lie to you here (I got lied to in the job interview and I'm not doing anything that I signed up to do) - NO room for advancement. Seriously... you'll never have the chance to grow here (people have been doing the same old thing for 4 or 5+ years) - Super stressful environment and high turnover (for both lawyers and staff) - All the bureaucracy and unnecessary red tape - Stark difference between treatment for lawyers and business services staff - No uniform mission or goal. We are a combination of several different law firms with their own unique cultures and ways of doing things. You have now a firm that has no unified culture and the pains of acquisition are still felt. Departments and practices/sectors still can feel greatly siloed. Your experience will be very different depending on your office location, country, and if you are a lawyer or regular business services staff. Stay away from Dentons in the US. It might be better overseas but in the US the Firm's business services staff are treated as afterthoughts comparatively with lawyers. A note on our Global expansion: a good idea in theory yet Dentons continues to take on more work and expand without increasing their staff to support the lawyers... or even value the lawyers like they should be. Because people do not feel valued here you have, in essence, a firm that will eventually collapse on itself if everything stays the same.
