Pros

None. Do not bother. Honestly

Cons

- Low salaries. Salaries today are much lower than a few years ago for the same job title - An expectation that you will work 18 hour shifts, and dedicate your entire life and being to Deloitte, by doing extra firm initiatives once you have finished your overworked day job (e.g creating posts promoting the company on LinkedIn, making youtube videos, etc) - Constantly and consistency lying to clients, to the point where it is second nature. Deloitte promise the world before they sign the contract, and once the contract is signed, Deloitte bully clients into accepting lower quality, and outsource the entire delivery to India. - Culture of bullying and intimidation from partners. Deloitte like to remind you 1000 times when you are joining, 'the partners are so open and nice guys' whereas in reality once you get there, you realise everyone (including high ranking directors and senior managers) are absolutely terrified of them, and there is a definite culture of fear. All the partners care about is money, is especially true at Deloitte. You are a simply a number. - Old school 'drinking culture' - Backbiting and fighting between directors, which is pathetic considering they are such a high grade, though this is probably related to the 'culture of fear' above

Pros

The best reason to work at Deloitte is the salary. High salaries are the only hope for retaining employees in a highly toxic work environment.

Cons

I have never felt more mistreated at any employer in my life. It wasn't the working conditions or the pay. It was my colleagues. I was repeatedly set up by my superiors, particularly partners and principals, to take the blame for their mistakes. This was most clearly illustrated when I attempted to contact a principal regarding a potential problem in dealing with a client--a problem that resulted from her inattention to the client. She immediately tried to assign the blame for the inattention to me, even though I had been saying to her for months that the problem existed. This is just one example. It seems as if a principal role for senior managers and managers is to take blame for partner failures.

Pros

Ok pay, benefits, good well being subsidy. Join if you're a racist.

Cons

I worked on the IRS team and it is full of racists and you have no opportunity to move up. They hire really stupid people and then promote them to managers after 4 years. These people do a horrible job at everything and make it confusing for anyone else to take over the contract from them. The IRS team is just about parting, binge drinking, getting the most girls, fighting over women, demeaning colored people. This is one of their biggest contracts and only about 5% of the team does any real work.
