Cons

Culture, Dell technologies seems to be big on culture. This is true. But actions speak louder than words!!!! They go on and on about how we’re here to win and change the world but really it’s just more corporate greed! In 2020 at the height of the pandemic September 8th 2020 there was an all hands meeting where we were all told how great the company is doing and we’re blowing the number out of the water and sales were way better than expected. At the beginning of the pandemic they stopped promotions and 401k matching . Then on September 16th 2020 they decided to announce a massive layoff claiming COVID down turn!!!! I call BS

Pros

Having remote work, benefits before covid-19, overall friendly workplace.

Cons

Covid-19 has really shown the true colors of this company, Dell has canceled all benefits due to the pandemic to "preserve cash." This has to be one of the dumbest statements I have ever heard after a company goes through 2 quarters of the year with absolutely insane profits, better than ever before. Is the company going to look into changing things like at least 401K matching back, no, nothing is being looked into, just a heartfelt email thanking its employees for making them a ton of money. It might look like the executives are good giving up their salary, but that doesn't even begin to breathe on the money they are actually making in stock options ect. So they are hoarding this money in fear of the recession. News flash, you hoard money, your 150+ thousand employees are no longer spending as much, and the places they went to don't have as much money so they stop spending, and everyone stops spending, places closes and the economy crashes. So thank you Dell for contributing to the economic recession amid making billions in profit so far this year.

Pros

• Successful at luring new young employees in thinking they’re going to get the “EMC” experience. False! That no longer exists; which is fine if the business model improved after M&A, but it has declined significantly.

Cons

• M&A between Dell & EMC still in the process after almost 2 years, systems still not synced making it extremely difficult to perform ones job at a high level. • Disconnect between upper management and employees. Communication almost non-existent. • IT support horrible! Being told something simple can’t be done, then having to “YouTube” how to DIY. • No longer local HR on-site; only HR available is in Dell HQ [Austin, TX], or online chat...who then directs you to speak to local HR, which is not there [?] • False advertisement of “enjoyable engaged culture”...ice cream socials, LIFT committees, DO NOT equate to people being heard, it’s just a smoke screen. * not a disgruntled employee, just anonymously stating the truth! *
