Pros

Dell pays very well, no question about it. The people you work with tend to be very fun and dynamic and the company goes out of its way to throw money around for its employees. Their promotion system is exclusively merit-based.

Cons

Dell makes it almost impossible to balance work and the rest of your life. Mandatory 50 to 70-hour work weeks are common there. This does not make for happy employees.
