Pros

The pay was not bad for the type of work that you do. Honestly I thought of it as a high paying "after school job" with the way that the environment and culture is.

Cons

The way that work is done can be unethical and unreasonable at time. the "best deal" is what makes Dell money and not is what is best for the customer leading to poor customer experience. Marketing consistently makes errors in promos and wont change them to be correct or will not honor. They strictly go by Del reserves the right to changes pricing at any time.

Pros

Great pay, good benefits, nice co-workers. Reasonably good training, lots of potential for advancement. Living in Austin means that your salary goes a long way.

Cons

Wow, where to start? Dell is borderline abusive when it comes to work-life balance. they will literally work you into the ground. Overtime is mandatory, sometimes for as many as fourteen hours a day, for weeks at a time. Pay structure in phone sales changed to a "team" pay structure (meaning less money and more work for top performers.) Lame.

Great career opportunities. Good pay, nice benefits including stock purchase at a discount (instand return on investment), great colleagues and a can do mentality

Cons

Spreadsheet management in good times can be a pain in the butt, spreadsheet management in bad times is demotivating and paralizes an organisation
