Pros

Very flexible work hours. THATS ITk

Cons

Being a PE owned company, its all about numbers. Very obvious favoritism if you’re the top dog in sales. Bridal salesgirls are extremely cut throat and competitive amongst each other. First 6 months were great, under old management. New SM was ver unfair, always singled me out. Very toxic. Continually being micromanaged and placed under a microscope if your not in the clique You work your tail off for $14 an hour. Even sales staff with tenure are stagnant. If you’re looking to move up, move on....

Pros

Spend wonderful time with amazing customers

Cons

This company does not care about minorities. There's are very few if none in senior management. As well as store managers there are very few minorities. They don't take care of their managers. They changed assistant manager to supervisors so they can pay them less than they were. They lowered the amount of managers in each store. They require you to work every weekend for the first 3 months of the year. You only get one Sunday a month off if you are a manager. They low ball their pay. There is no communication from the field to senior level. One word of advice don't work here as a manager or a sales person. They pay terrible for a brutal company.

Pros

PTO after 6 years starts to become generous. Constant product changes keep you informed on fashion trends. Peer staff can be great.

Cons

Davids used to be a company of purpose and heart. Throughout the years, they have lost their way and continue to decline in both financial stability and culture for its people. If you wonder what working for Donald Trump would be like, then look no further. The VP acts and says whatever he pleases, while not being required to follow company policies on things like dress codes. You will walk into negative emails from him questioning your leadership abilities the morning of a busy Saturday. The majority of those in middle management are absolutely terrified to say anything truthful or push back against executive directions because of the fear of losing your job. Davids is completely antiquated in technology, processes, reporting, expectations and management. They have failed to stay current with technology, pay rates, etc and have become more outdated then ever. Sales people make less then seasonal employees at Target. If you are considering management, let it be known that management in stores is always to be blamed for EVERYTHING. Corporate has no accountability for its actions or mistakes. You will be micro managed to chase down compliance in driving metrics for things that dont really work in addition to having unrealistic expectations and sales goals placed on you to ensure that you never make bonus. They will work you and take everything from you. Zero work life balance.
