Pros

First of all, I have to say my direct management and co-workers are some of the best people I have ever worked with. The amount of love and care everyone puts in at this location is amazing. The only thing better than having amazing colleagues is having amazing brides. It is really wonderful to be able to make brides happy everyday.

Cons

- Humiliating compensation, zero interest or support as well as sabotage from regional leaders. After going through months of unbelievable workloads; to the point that 95% of store management and multiple hourly workers were working overtime while off the clock. Regional management was aware and unwilling, if not incapable, of makes shifts that would help resolve many issues. The least of which was “donation” of time. After all of this, as well as offering a retention bonus not 24 hours ago, RM has made a decision that will cut hours drastically. My pay was already comparable to McDonalds, for the next month it will be vastly lower than what I would make at the drive through.

Pros

- Decent base pay (not high at 11.75, but still better than a minimum wage position) - worth the money if you can sell all sense of morals to the corporation

Cons

- the company falsely advertises their appointment times (such as advertising 90 minute appointments when in reality, the bride gets 60 and is not supposed to go over) and this causes upset brides. - the sales methods that are expected out of the stylists are asinine. They take sales methods too far and almost force brides into dresses above budget and then throw discounts at them and pressure them. It's literally in their training advice that if a bride is above budget, then you need to do everything in your power to bully them into that dress. Not to mention, that 7 day return policy assures that those people cannot change their minds. - The customers are degrading and obnoxious often. The customer should be right, however, a store full of entitled women with impossible demands makes it hard to think so. I was often talked poorly to over the lack of inventory and other negligence's of Management and receiving. - Commission scale is a mess. If you do not meet the standard to increase your hourly pay during that pay period, any other sales are not factored in. - required to sell "head to toe" but the company keeps horrible stock of undergarments and like things in stores. - sample dresses are in horrible condition - Have known someone that was cornered and bullied by coworkers - including a member of management

Pros

Brides, brides, brides. Fun and never a dull moment. You get to build relationships with lots of people

Cons

Upper management doesn’t understand the needs of the market, and when you tell them it falls on deaf ears. booking 2 to 1 appointments gets overwhelming and old fast when you never have a time to take a break, and if 1 person calls out your literally screwed They try to have routine schedules, but it always gets changed and it’s not fault of the store manager it’s the fault of the business allowing people to book so many appointments. They just say you need to have more people available to help. It’s all metric based. Doesn’t matter that you are a good manager.. if you don’t make your metrics they coach you out and move on to the next sucker that accepts. Don’t sell your soul to a company that literally doesn’t care about you.
