Pros

There are lasting co worker relationships, beautiful dresses to look at, and sometimes pleasant customers. Everyone tries to work together for the most part.

Cons

The pay is ok but I get like 8 hrs a week 13 if I'm lucky due to unrealistic slae goals our hours have been cut I mean really we have bills to pay. We have people quiting all the time because the job is too demanding. Don't make plans to get off on the weekend from January to April because you will not be permitted to be off unless someone is dead or you are in a wedding. Then you get the rude brides and the even ruder wedding party. There is a lot of people that will talk behind another co workers back and smile in your face. The senior supervisors set unreachable goals for the consultants and get mad when they can't sell three headpeices to a bride that clearly did not want one it is ridiculous to say the least. Then the managers grill the consultants for 30 minutes on why they couldn't sell a bride that had no money to buy anything in the first place. Or you get the bride that isn't getting married for another four years but just wanted to come in to "get an idea". Management should understand that but they don't. You are required to make 20 calls a day which will probably yield two appts if any and the bride gets mad at you because you keep calling her all they care about is money they don't care about anything else. The store hours aren't great either. Open 7 days a week and only closed for three holidays and some of the holidays we are open for we make no money on it's so irritating. I would not recommend this job to anyone it's not fun like people think it is, it's the exact opposite. You better wear comfortable shoes to because your feet will be screaming along with you back, neck, and shoulders due to the weight of the dresses. As soon as something goes wrong because your customerr didn't get to return a dress even though our policy clearly states no refunds no exchanges and the issue gets sent to corporate and they suck up the customer and give her anything she wants that is unfair and it leaves us looking stupid to the customer. We have out of date computers that break down all the time because they are too cheap to invest in new things and then the customers get upset when the computer breaks down in the middle of them ordering a dress. They need to change a lot of things before I refer anyone.
