Pros

1. Salary+Commission. Pay is decent if you are good at selling and willing to sell your soul in order to meet the ridiculous requirements established by corporate. 2. If you need a day off, you can usual get it off. 3. Other employees who arent management are really nice.

Cons

1. Extremely hectic working environment 2. Management is extremely condescending and cares only about sales 3. It takes what is supposed to be a very special day for a bride and turns it into nothing but a bunch of lines that you are required to memorize and repeat to a bride. 4. You are required to make phone calls to the brides at the beginning of each shift, which turns me into nothing but a telemarketer. 5. If you do not meet the required $140 an hour minimum, you are yelled at by management who explains to you that if you do not meet the requirement then your job is in jeopardy. 6. If you don't sell to every bride regardless of the situation, management yells at you again.

Pros

Flexible Schedule, nice people to work with, great communication with management, nice discount

Cons

no work/job balance..management didn't understand if you were in school or had family you were expected to work extra hours regardless of what plans you had, no room to advance

Pros

- Can make decent money if you are lucky and it is busy. - Can meet great co-workers. - Can get plenty of hours during the busy season.

Cons

- Very rarely get a lunch break or even a moment to sit down and rest your aching feet. - Managers are very unreasonable with the number of customers one consultant can deal with at a time. Consultants are very overburdened and customers feel frustrated with the lack of attention and customer service, even though the consultants are working as hard as possible to satisfy them. Management wants quality of service and quantity, but do not seem to realize that as one increases, the other naturally decreases. - Pay is TERRIBLE if you do not manage to make (unreasonable) commission goals. $7.50/hour is barely above minimum wage and, frankly, it is an insulting amount to be paid given what is expected of consultants. - Training is completely inadequate. New employees often are thrown onto the floor without enough knowledge and experience. They make mistakes that end up costing the company time and money. If they were properly trained, they could be more productive. - Employees are treated as though they are disposable. Talented and valuable employees are not commended for their hard work. - There is very little education for employees regarding new styles, colors, and selling techniques.
