Pros

-Great discount on products. -Direct deposit option. -Good culture and values. This is what got me on-board.

Cons

-Scheduling -Wedding Consultants are expected to schedule comeback appointments with brides to come back and buy bridesmaid dresses. Most weeks, the schedule for the next week (Sun-Sat) would not be ready available until Friday-yes, a day or two before. Virtually impossible to give your clients a date where you will be available to assist them because Mgmt does not have your schedule ready. The schedule is often changed during the week with little or no notice. Forget about planning your life around your work schedule because you'll never know your schedule in advance beyond the current week. Forget trying to schedule your 2nd job around this one, and you'll need a 2nd job. They wilk have you fill out an availability form/agreement and then disregard it. You are often scheduled shifts when they are aware or your other job/school obligations. -Commission system - you to sell thousands only to receive a couple percent. Work hard, make sales goals and get 3% in return, if you get it at all. -This part may be specific to the store I worked in, but it was implied that you could clock out for lunch and continue working through it. They will never directly tell you to work through your break, but it was often implied. -Overbooking and understaffing - This creates a poor experience for the customer and employees are overwhelmed. Having 2 or even 3 brides and their parties to help at the same time is a poor experience for the bride who is looking for a special wedding experience. The store may be so overbooked that there are not enough seats for every guest.

Pros

Eventually you do get paid.

Cons

Promises of advancement never come through. Management team has little background in photography, they are retailers and do not understand this service business. Way to many meetings with few results coming out of them.
