Pros
Great support from management; corporate infrastructure ensures there is a "way of doing things"; I felt as though I had a great training experience and was able to go live on the sales floor without trouble or hesitation; MUCH better experience than the bridal store I worked for in the past; overall a good experience and the managers at our store are really great and willing to help with any and everything
Cons
It's tough to earn good commission when you are part time because the commission earnings really start coming once you have developed a "following" and have a lot of events. Layaways can skew your earnings predictions because you get the commission when they are PAID OFF, not when they are made (they don't tell you this and I didn't commission on my first two checks when the reports said I should have because I had several brides with layaways); working more hours sometimes hurts your productivity if you are scheduled in more of the "down times" or are opening and closing a lot when you are on the clock but don't have customers to sell to.
