Pros

Treated staff fairly and offered some interesting and welcome benefits (pay-out for unused leave)

Cons

Because of all the legacy firms and mergers, there was a very obvious sense of them vs. us.

Pros

Working with knowledgeable professionals Great benefits—They want to keep the lawyers healthy and productive, as well as the staff that supports them. Work-life balance for staff (can't speak for lawyers) Corporate social responsibility—a big emphasis on pro bono work, even for staff

Cons

Tightening the belt—but hey, who isn't? The firm puts an emphasis on its own survivability. No guarantees in this world, but it's comforting to know they are trying to get their ducks in a row. Their unspoken message: "just be thankful you have a job."
