Pros
The various locations of the retail locations are convenient to commute to. The name recognition seemed to be an inital advantage.
Cons
1. As a a memeber of the sales staff of one of the used car locations, myself and my fellow employee's are required to work 54 hours a week, including three days of 12 hour shifts. These are the minimum hours we are required to be there or we risk being fired. Many, many times the hours run longer. 2. T pay is neither competetive or lucrative. In fact I quaslify for some social service assistance based upon how I -- and the majprioty of my co-worker's in my position, are underpaid. I was the number one sales associatye 3 months (1/4) of the last year. This is because the dealership does not allow the sales associate to see the2 actual cost of the vehicle -- after a sale is made. Myself and others have kept our own careful records only to receive approximately 2/3 less pay. This is NOT a fluke -- but a usual occurrence. One person desrobed receiving their monthly commission check as wondering if the, "win the lottery." Aside from state and federal taxes, DARCARS takes approximately %80 or more of the salesman's commission. This is over and above the, "draw," also known as base pay. Other deductions the dealership0 takes from every sale am associate commission includes $500 per sale -- which is a package that is supposed to be s complimentary incetive for the buyer - (floor mats, tec..) My draw is $500 every 2 weeks. Once takes are taken out i must live on les trhen $350 for 2 weeks. Lastly - management refuses to euips is w/a modern phone system and that breaks down often -- for long time periods. There are no computers for sales stuff to access -- even maj0ority of cxustomers find uis vis Internet. There is NO formal sales training
