Pros

Good starting salary, you get to work with people your age, people are nice initially. Travel is good if you like to travel a lot.

Cons

Awful on the job training as nobody is willing to teach you (they act like they're too busy with their own work to help you). Many senior staff/managers are temperamental, abusive, and difficult to work with. The employee reviews detail every little thing your supervisor thinks you did wrong with very little positives. Questions are difficult to get answered (pretty much every question you ask is a stupid question in the mind of your supervisor). No personal accountability as everyone is quick to point the finger at someone else.

Pros

None I can think of

Cons

The boys club play favorite and those who are not in it are left to their own devices, not to mention not developed to take on leadership roles

A mixed bag

Pros

Very nice people A lot of very smart and well-meaning people Wide variety of types of work and industries to learn about In most ways, trusted and treated like an adult. Can work from anywhere. Lots of flexibility (though that probably depends on which group you're in). Lots of growth - healthy financially Great healthcare insurance

Cons

Penny pinchers - would rather save a few bucks than see the long-term investment advantages. Mean well but once in a while do stupid stuff like not allowing access to certain websites, including gmail. Too much work and very high expectations and not enough resources - need more people, more face time/travel - keep getting promises things will improve but they get crazier and more hectic every year. Burned out. Run by middle-aged conservative white guys who run the firm too conservatively and cautiously.
