      Pros

      Big name. Solid products. Intense initial training that prepares you well for field.

      Cons

      Compensation. Support. No voice. Do what we say, you don't know anything. Arrogance reeks from upper levels.

      Pros

      Some of the smartest people I know work at Covidien - I miss the interaction and learning that made me smarter (and better). It is an intense time to be in med device/healthcare, but the inspiration and collaboration made it a great place to work.

      Cons

      Because of the rapid growth and fast-changing landscape, organizationally it could feel like a start-up (annual reorgs, new teams, new focus).

      If you like to work hard, collaborate and make a different in the lives of many, work at Covidien. Opportunities and career growth are available for these individuals.

      Cons

      As with most large companies in regulated industries, there are many procedures and bureauracy to work to eliminate. At times frustrating, but some is necessary
