Frequent massive reorganisations and lay-offs, heavy bureaucracy and people avoiding to take responsibility, a culture of "if I can't deliver the expected results, I will protect my position by pointing a finger at someone else", weak incompetent management, mobbing is an acceptable management practice, highly political environment, lack of talent development, focus exclusively on short term financial results, concern about anything outside of meeting financial forecasts and stock market expectations is a concept rather foreign to Covidien management
