Pros

The main 2 perks to legacy Comdata/ present Corpay are: 1) TONS of opportunities 2) Longevity of the company (at least on the Comdata side) The main selling point I always speak about with Corpay is the fact that practically any job role you can think of is present within the org; and now, those roles are becoming worldwide. Project Management, Sales, Support, Account and Relationship Management, Finance, Data Analsysis and countless more opportunities are available, and that is awesome! Legacy Comdata has been around for approaching 60 years, and the brand still has power - especially in the Fleet world. I was given the opportunity to restart my career, and was blessed with the ability to move into the training space, then into Management. I had AMAZING leaders and managers during my tenure, which taught me things that I will take with me forever. While the company when I started was 180 degrees different than when I left, I loved my time with the organization.

Cons

Historically, the pay at Comdata/ Corpay was very low - below market. Getting the business to increase that, historically, was nearly impossible. I had 7 managers within my last 2 years of employment - that instability was tough to work and excel within. Again, a tale of two companies - the company culture at Legacy Comdata was amazing, dare I say perfect. We had opportunities to give back to the company with our United Way campaigns, changes to volunteer, Fall festivals, etc. Upon the Fleetcor acquisition and into Corpay, all of that ceased.

Thank you for your detailed and thoughtful review of your extensive tenure at Corpay. We greatly appreciate the time and dedication you have devoted to our company over the years, and we're pleased to hear that you found the opportunities and dynamic workspace enriching. Your reflections on the diverse job roles and the evolution of Corpay, particularly from its legacy as Comdata, highlight what we believe to be one of our core strengths: the vast array of career paths available within our global organization. It's inspiring to hear how you were able to restart and advance your career, benefiting from strong leadership and developmental opportunities. However, we acknowledge the challenges you've pointed out, particularly regarding compensation and the high turnover in management in recent years. We understand that such instability can impact the work environment and employee satisfaction. Your experience reinforces the necessity of reviewing our pay scales to ensure they meet industry standards and reflect the value our employees bring to their roles. Additionally, the shift in company culture following the acquisition is an important issue. We are committed to reviving the spirit of community and employee engagement that characterized Legacy Comdata, recognizing that such initiatives enhance the work environment and strengthen our team's cohesion. We sincerely appreciate your advice and will take it to heart as we strive to improve our workplace and ensure Corpay remains rewarding. Thank you again for your contributions and sharing your experiences, which will help guide our efforts to enhance our organizational practices.

Pros

When I joined the Corpay team (under its previous name of Comdata and also Nvoicepay) I grew swiftly into several new roles, teams, and responsibilities. I was a part of an excellent team that was committed to not only success but also to its team members. While most of the company's teams have changed to new hands, I believe that this is still the case.

Cons

Regretfully, by the time I left Corpay, it was no longer the company I had initially joined. With so many overall changes from the FLEETCOR parent company level over the course of two years, it resulted in extreme leadership changes, changes in priorities, products, and ultimately how the team operated. This resulted in many departures and others being let go to coincide with new objectives. I don't think the new objectives would have been an issue for the team to adapt if the changes hadn't been so frequent and extreme. Many floundered and most decided it was no longer the same company and values. Ultimately, Corpay / FLEETCOR is greedy and constantly buying up new companies and solutions to add to its tool belt with zero care for what it means not just for the teams involved but also its customers who no longer understand the offerings.

Thank you for your thoughtful review reflecting on your years with Corpay, spanning its evolution from Comdata to Nvoicepay. Your insights are invaluable, especially given your experience through various phases of our company's growth. We are pleased to hear you found rapid growth and a strong team culture during your initial years with us. It's heartening to know that the commitment to team success and member support was a highlight of your experience. We understand and acknowledge your concerns about the rapid changes and their impact on the company's identity and operations. The frequency and magnitude of these changes can indeed be challenging, and we regret that they contributed to your decision to leave, along with similar decisions by other valued team members. Your feedback about the perceived disconnect between the acquisition strategy and its impact on team dynamics and customer relations is particularly concerning. We take your advice to reflect on the core reasons why our original team members joined and evaluate the consequences of significant changes. We are committed to ensuring that our growth strategies enhance, rather than compromise, our foundational values and the well-being of our teams and clients. We are grateful for your contributions to Corpay and candid feedback. Your insights will guide us in making considerate decisions in the future.
