Cooley reviews

No work life balance (big law norm). Fake, passive aggressive, sharp elbowed attorneys abound, especially in the upper ranks. End of year reviews are not a true metric and feedback given doesn’t appear to correlate with those who were laid off. Disproportionately laid off Asian people, women, and POCs generally. Partners year after year were overwhelmingly white and male, which was directly reflected in the aforementioned layoffs. Continues to make decisions to increase partner profits like deferring incoming associates.

Disrespectful coworkers- yawning when you talk and not paying attention but then you get blamed when they fail at their job. Literally everyone except for executive leadership. New hires from 2020 are destroying Cooley culture.
